Research Overview

I am focusing my research on: (1) Statistical models that allow for stronger causal inference in non-RCT intervention designs, like matching or causal mixture modeling. (2) A method of synthesizing evidence from past research that expands the common meta-analytic approach by simulating original studies’ data under complete model specifications. Also, applied behavior change translational research in weight (and diabetes) control. (3) Development and validation of formative (causal indicator) measures (indexes). (4) Issues of health equity and disparities and new causal models to test for the ‘disparities effect’. (5) Analyzing the intervention initiated dynamic coupling & decoupling effects in mutually developing health outcomes.
