Research Overview

Dr. Coleman earned his Bachelor’s degree from Clark University and his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy. He then completed a 2-year outcomes research fellowship at Hartford Hospital where he specialized in health economics and outcomes research. As of 2003, Dr. Coleman has been employed in a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the University of Connecticut. He was granted tenure in 2009 and promoted to full professor in 2013. From 2007-2012, he served as the Co-Director and Methods-Chief for UConn’s Agency for Healthcare and Research Quality Evidence-Based Practice Center, which conducted systematic reviews and meta-analyses for the federal government. He has over 180 publications in peer-reviewed journals including JAMA, Annals of Internal Medicine, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, American Journal of Cardiology, Thrombosis and Haemostasis and the Lancet.
