- This opportunity provides funding for UConn faculty to access training in a new area or topic relevant to the research agenda of the applicant.
- Provides awards up to $5,000. InCHIP anticipates funding up to 4 awards during FY25.

- Spring Semester: A second application cycle will open on January 13th, 2025 and will close on April 11th, 2025.
Description:
This opportunity provides funds for UConn faculty whose research is aligned with InCHIP's mission and are interested in accessing training relevant to their careers as academics and researchers. InCHIP will provide up to $ 5,000 for UConn faculty whose work is aligned with InCHIP’s mission to access training in a new area or topic relevant to the research agenda of the applicant. Funding will be prioritized for proposals that clearly connect their training activities to planned external funding proposals.

Proposal instructions:
In addition to basic information on the applicant- applicants must submit a one-page proposal that describes the following:
- A brief overview of the targeted training program (please include a url to the program’s website) along with a time-frame for when you plan to participate in the training.
- A description of your specific research-based training or career goals that articulates how this program matches those goals. Proposals should connect the training goals to proposed extramural funding or planned research projects.
Format:
Proposal should be one single-spaced page with size 11 - 12 font with 1’ margins. File should be uploaded as a pdf.
Budget:
InCHIP will provide funds for up $5,000. Provide a brief description of the costs associated with this program along with any other costs you may incur (such as out of state travel expenses). For costs over $2K, faculty are encouraged to pursue matching funds from their departments, research funds, and colleges.
