Assistant Professor, Pharmacy Practice, UConn Health (Affiliate)
Research Overview
To date, I have been mainly interested in conducting high-quality systematic reviews & meta-analyses of medical interventions. This includes both pharmacologic agents, neutraceuticals, and medical devices/procedures across a number of medical sub-specialties. These projects have been funded by both pharmaceutical companies (e.g. Pfizer) as well as the Agency for Healthcare Research & Quality as part of their Evidence-based Practice Center Program (UConn-Hartford Hospital). I also conduct clinical trials of pharmacological agents, primarily in patients with arrhythmias. My future research interests include learning/conducting cost-effectiveness analyses of medical interventions.
Education
I received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy in 2002, worked as a PGY1 resident at St. Francis Healthcare (Hartford CT, 2002 – 2003) and completed a cardiovascular pharmacology & outcomes research fellowship at Hartford Hospital (2006 – 2008).
