Research Overview

I am interested in the effects of trauma- and stress-related mental processes (cognitive appraisals) on physical health (health behavior engagement, psychophysiology, chronic conditions). I am currrently involved in several studies including the VA-funded “Survey of Experiences of Returning Veterans” and the NCCIH-funded “Development of a Translational Tool to Study Yoga Therapy.” Previously, I worked at the NYU School of Medicine, coordinating research on biomarkers and psychosocial factors as predictors of risk and resilience in PTSD.
