Patricia Ritter, PhD
Assistant Professor, Economics (Affiliate)
Research Overview
My research fields are development economics and health economics. My work focuses on non-communicable diseases in developing countries, particularly on the global obesity epidemic. My current research explores the extent to which poor access to clean water in developing countries acts as a driver of the obesity growth in developing countries, through the consumption of soft drinks.
In addition to my research experience, I have had professional experience in the field as a consultant in Peru, Mexico, Tanzania and others.
