Marissa Salvo, PharmD

Assistant Clinical Professor, Pharmacy Practice (Affiliate)

Research Overview

As a clinical faculty member practicing in a federally qualified health center, I am engaged in and committed to investigating and advancing patient health behavior change, patient self-management, and health/wellness and disease prevention.

I have written numerous manuscripts which focus on disease state management and the patient’s role in his/her care along with the role of the pharmacist.

Additionally, I am currently working with a colleague on a grant which investigates the pharmacists’ role as a healthcare extender in the community with respect to patient engagement and improvement in clinical outcomes.
