Graduate Student, Allied Health (Affiliate)
As a Registered Dietitian and a graduate student, my current research interests include nutrition, health, and obesity. I am currently working on a series of meta-analytic projects on the Mediterranean Diet and various health outcomes. With Tania Huedo-Medina as my Graduate advisor, we have created a database of meta-analyses and systematic reviews on the Mediterranean Diet to use for future research projects. My graduate thesis project is a meta-analysis evaluating the relationship between the Mediterranean Diet and obesity. The research in this area has been inclusive to date. We are hoping to show that the Mediterranean Diet can promote weight loss and reduce various obesity outcomes. Throughout my first year of graduate school health promotion and prevention research has become a new passion and I look forward to more research opportunities that may be available through InCHIP.
