Graduate Student, Communication (Affiliate)
My primary research interests are centered around the role that gender plays in interpersonal communication and the differences in perceptions of various communication behaviors between men and women, particularly in the context of street harassment and sexual harassment. My current research projects examine 1) motivations to engage in and desired outcomes in street harassment behaviors and 2) understanding the relationship between frequency of street harassment and negative mental health effects on recipients of the behavior such as depression, anxiety, and alcohol or drug abuse.
