Research Interests

I am trained in Internal Medicine and have an active practice at UCONN Health. I have experience and take interest in primary care redesign and population health management strategies, health care management, health policy, community engagement and development, health equity, social/economic justice, and digital health solutions.

My research interests include health and healthcare systems transformation, and advancing heath equity with innovative digital health and potential blockchain solutions to meet both health and social needs via economic promotion and enhanced patient/community engagement.

My current research interests align with the mission of the University of Connecticut to be a catalyst for advancement of health services and research that will benefit all in the state. My interest and experience in health policy, digital health, and clinical medicine can serve as a potential resource for colleagues embarking on innovative initiatives that require a multidisciplinary collaboration and approach towards meeting the healthcare challenges of the future. The integration of health information technology/database solutions, social determinants of heath, health policy, clinical medicine and public health requires enhanced collaboration and networking among traditionally disparate disciplines which is consistent with InCHIP’s mission.
