Research Overview

My substantive areas of research interest are alcohol use and abuse and LGB issues. Much of my research examines the influences of gender, sexual minority identity development and minority identity stress on women’s behavioral health. Future directions include a focus on specialized treatment needs of LGB individuals, needs of families of sexual minority youth, and more broadly addressing prevention and treatment of health disparities affecting LGB individuals and families.
