Research Overview

I am a broadly trained geographer with substantive interests in geographical techniques. In particular, my research concentrates on 1) spatial statistics, 2) GIS (Geographic Information Systems and Science), 3) GIS Cyberinfrastructure, 4) applications of spatial statistics and GIS techniques. I plan to work on in applying GIS and spatial statistic techniques for Public health as an InCHIP affiliate. For example, I plan to investigate 1) spatial relationships between Health and the Environment (such as spatial relationships between cancer and air pollution); 2) Spatial Patterns of Diseases; 3) Spatial access to health Services; 4) Health disparities from spatial distribution perspective; 5) privacy and confidentiality in health GIS; 6) spatial (location) health data uncertainty (such as spatial uncertainty caused by Geocoding or P.O. Box Addresses).
