Research Overview

My research interests lie in the area of intimate relationships, psychosocial factors involved with HIV and other infectious disease risk behaviors, medical adherence theory and intervention, social status, and health behaviors more generally. I work on a variety of projects at InCHIP and with InCHIP affiliates, including papers on ART adherence, maternal health and malaria prevention in Tanzania, among many others. Dr. Harman also as a affiliate appointment with the Colorado School of Public Health.
