Haim Bar, PhD

Associate Professor

Department of Statistics

Research Overview

My research interests include statistical modeling for high-throughput data, variable selection, and missing-data problems. I am also interested in statistical methods in machine learning.
I developed statistical models for analyzing high-throughput data, focusing mostly on genomics. I also developed a variable selection method for situations in which the number of possible model is very large. I am also working on machine learning methods to determine idetifiability in statistical models.
I have collaborated with researchers from diverse fields, both as a coauthor, and as a statistical consultant.

Education

I got my B.Sc. in mathematics from the Hebrew University, my M.Sc. in computer science from Yale, and my PH.D. in statistics from Cornell.
