Research Overview

Dr. Delaney’s research interests include Heart Failure, mental health issues, and spirituality in community-dwelling elders. She completed a post-doctoral fellowship in 2008 under the mentorship of Dr. Richard Fortinsky, Professor, UConn Center on Aging at the University of Connecticut Health Center. Currently, she is a Co-Investigator of an NIH NINR R21 grant with Dr. Fortinsky to introduce an Advanced Practice RN (APRN) intervention for patients with dementia and their family caregivers in primary care settings and is writing another grant involving a multicomponent home care intervention for older persons with heart failure receiving home care services.
